We offer a variety of decorating plans to suit your individual needs and budget.

In Home Consultation:  I can be hired simply by the hour.  During a one or two hour consultation I can answer your specific design questions to help you to avoid costly decorating mistakes. We can select paint colors or faux finishes, rearrange furniture and accessories, decide upon window treatment styles, and provide a list of additional recommended changes, furnishings and accessories. I can help you to coordinate colors and give the proper flow to your home. I will leave you with specific suggestions to help make your home more beautiful and functional.  I can "tweak" your entire home and select new paint colors and finishes within two hours in most cases!   Hourly fee for Harrisburg, Mechanicsburg, Carlisle and Gettysburg aeas: $100.

Personal Shopping: Many busy homeowners don't have the time or resources to shop for the perfect furniture or accessories for their homes, and many just don't enjoy it! Many retailers offer discounts to interior designers.  I can often save you money by shopping with you. I can go shopping for you or with you.  Hourly fee:  $80.

Basic Design Plan:  After an initial in home consultation, I can be hired to put together a basic design plan with specific suggestions for your room.  This is a written document with suggestions for making your room more inviting and comfortable. It would include such things as suggested wall finishes, tips on rearranging your furniture for proper traffic flow, suggestions for additional types, styles and colors of furnishings and accessories and their proper placements.  Names of recommended contractors and shopping locations would also be included.  This makes a perfect follow up to an in home consultation and would  ensure that you have all the suggestions you need to bring style and harmony to your space.  Fee:  $200 per room.

Complete Visual Design Plan:  After an initial in home consultation, I can be hired to design a complete visual room plan including a 1/4" scale furniture floor plan, photos, swatches or samples, and shopping list for specific furnishings and finishes. The shopping list includes photos and prices for each item. I do the shopping and selections for you based on our discussions during the initial in home consultation, saving you many hours of searching for the perfect items.  This includes a return visit to your home or office to present the plan to you.   Fee:  $350 per room.

Inspiration Room Redesign: This service is similar to that seen on HGTV's Sensible Chic, where you select an inspiration room from a design magazine or catalog and we recreate a similar room within your budget. During an initial in home consultation ($60/hour fee) we will evaluate the space you want redecorated and the inspiration room photo.  We will discuss your budget, decide which existing items can be used, and determine a paint color and finish for your walls to get you started.  Next I will begin shopping for the major items necessary to complete your room such as flooring, lighting, furniture and major pieces of art or accessories. This process will take 2-3 weeks to complete.  I will then return with a shopping list (photos and prices along with the location of the items) for you to purchase the furniture and accessories.  This part of the redesign costs $350.  You are then free to do your shopping from the list I have provided and put the plan into place yourself.  Or, Bare Walls Design Co. can be hired to purchase the items for you and put the room together for an additional fee of $80/ hour.  We can do as much or as little as you wish to help you complete this redesign plan.

Faux Finishes / Decorative Painting: (Carroll County and Western Baltimore County)  During an initial in home consultation to determine the type of finish and colors desired, I will provide you with a cost for the faux finish. If you are bringing me into your home for the sole purpose of providing a faux finish estimate and not for other decorating advice, your consultation (estimate) will be free. Pricing for the decorative finish will depend upon the size of the room and finish desired.  For a faux finish, the cost would be  $4-8 per square foot of wall space, depending on the finish desired. This includes the cost of materials and labor for application of the decorative finish over an existing base coat.  This does not include the cost of the base coat of paint.  I can recommend a painter who can provide this service to you if you desire or I can provide the base coat for an additional fee. I charge by the square footage rather than by the hour so that I can take whatever time necessary to ensure a beautiful finish that my client will love. During our initial consultation

I will bring several samples of the various finishes I can provide for you to help you make your selection.  If you wish, I can provide 4 sample boards in the exact colors and finishes you desire for a fee of $100. If you decide to hire me for the final finish, this $100 fee will be subtracted from your final price for the faux painting project. 

Stenciling, Stamping and Murals are also available, however pricing will vary greatly depending upon your individual plans. (The average stencil or stamp design would cost $4.00 / linear foot / layer for application for a border style.  For more of an overall stamping or mural design the site and design would have to be evaluated before determining a price.)
